Käthe and Theodor Geers
On account of their pioneering spirit, Käthe and Theodor Geers significantly contributed to the creation of the profession of hearing aid acoustician (officially recognized in 1965) and paved the path for the success story of the company GEERS Hörakustik in the early 1950s.

1986
Innovation prize of the German economy for research and development work as well as the construction of the first in-the-ear hearing aids in Europe.

This award is given to companies who not only develop a new idea, but also succeed in establishing this idea in the market.

The GEERS think tank constructs sonetta®, the world’s smallest hearing aid, which is presented in the Guinness Book of Records.

1989
Development of A-Life®
This procedure for the fitting of hearing systems was developed with the scientific support of five European universities in order to optimize the hearing success. A-Life® exploits the potential of digital hearing systems, uses natural acoustic patterns instead of laboratory sounds, is certified in accordance with DIN ISO 9001 and can be experienced in GEERS specialist shops.

2007
MOE Award 2007 for special engagement in Central and Eastern Europe. The MOE Award is awarded by the bank HypoVereinsbank and “impulse”, a magazine for medium-sized enterprises.
